Academic

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school has classes from I to XII. The academic year begins in April and the final examination is conducted in March of the following year. English is the medium of instruction throughout the school. The national language Hindi and the regional language Marathi holds a place of very high importance in the curriculum and both the languages are taught from I Std.

Course of Study:

For the AISSCE class X examination the school is able to offer a wide choice of discipline options. Apart from the compulsory subjects [ English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science ] the students can select any one language from Hindi, Sanskrit and Marathi as per their preference. Co-Scholastic area includes evaluation in subjects like Art & Craft, Information Technology, Performing Arts and Physical Education Discipline.

At the 10+2 level, School facilitates the students to opt for English, Physics, Physical Education, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math & Biology. Out of these English, Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects, whereas 2 optional subjects can be selected from Biology, Math, Physical Education and Computer Science. Physical and Health Education (502), Work Experience (500), General Studies (503) are the subjects for internal assessment.

Assessment System:

For I to V std.:

Promotion to the next grade is on the basis of two evaluations Term-1 and Term-2 as per the norms laid by CBSE. All the subjects are evaluated on the basis of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation, which includes subjective skills, each skill has 5 grade points and the student has to score minimum 2 or D grade as per the norm. Every subject has written assessment of 50 marks.

For VI to X std.:

Students are evaluated by the remolded assessment structure introduced by CBSE in 2017. For VI to VIII STD evaluation will be twice a year and for IX to X it will be once in a year. Each term includes Periodic Test for 10 marks, Portfolio submission 5 marks, Subject Enrichment Activity 5 marks and Written Assessment for 80 marks. Co-Scholastic areas will be assessed once in a year on 3 and 5 point grading scale for VI to VIII and IX and X respectively.

Greater Education:

Coaching and guidance for competitive exams: Prabhat, a pioneer of yet another exclusive concept of providing training and guidance for various competitive exams in the school itself. Guidance for national and international competitive exams is provided in the school. The coaching is not given in the form of crash course of 15 or 20 days but it is in the form of hardcore training given by the expertise of competitive exam.
