Prabhat Kids School’s Celebration of the Grand Festival ‘Eco-Friendly Diwali’
Prabhat Kids School, Akola, celebrated the grand festival of Eco Friendly Diwali with unmatched splendour, devotion and enthusiasm. The entire campus glowed with festive energy as the fragrance of flowers, the sparkle of diyas and the joy of togetherness filled the air. The programme commenced with a warm poetic welcome, followed by cheerful greetings from the anchors, who beautifully conveyed the essence of Diwali, the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and goodness over evil. The presence of the school’s guiding lights Founder Director Hon. Dr. Gajanan Nare, Director Mrs. Vandana Nare, Secretary Mr. Niraj Awandekar, Mrs. Shilpa Awandekar, Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare, Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Belsare, Manager Mr. Abhijeet Joshi, Senior Coordinator Mr. Mohd. Asif, CBSE Coordinator Mr. Prashant Holkar and Member, Board of Directors Ms. V. Anuradha added grace and inspiration to the celebration.
The event began on an auspicious note with the Saraswati Poojan, performed by the esteemed dignitaries, invoking blessings of the Goddess of Wisdom for knowledge and enlightenment. This divine beginning was followed by a mesmerizing Opening Dance Performance presented by the talented students of the Dance Department, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness through rhythm and grace. The melody of the festival continued with soul-touching musical presentations, including ‘Din Din Diwali’ by the students of Music Department and ‘Chhap Tilak Sab Chhin Li Re’ by Miss. Parineeta Barapatre, filled the assembly with devotion and harmony. A heartfelt poem recitation by Sharayu Wahokar and an enchanting guitar presentation by Dhruti Mehta added artistic elegance to the event.
The highlight of the day was the Special Diwali Drama, where students portrayed the essence of courage, truth and righteousness, reflecting the timeless and important message of celebrating Eco Friendly Diwali. The celebration then transitioned into the Appreciation of Achievers, honouring Prabhatians who excelled in academics, cultural and sports activities. Students were felicitated for their outstanding performances in prestigious events such as the State Level Science Seminar, Bharat Ko Jaano Quiz, Babuji Deshmukh Wachanalay Elocution Competition, Scholars United MUN, Slogan Writing Competitions, Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge and various interschool sports championships including basketball, chess, skating, badminton, rope mallakhamb and carom.
Adding vibrancy to the festive mood, the Folk Dance with Live Music and the lively Aali Diwali Group Dance brought a splash of colour and rhythm to the stage, showcasing India’s cultural richness and joyous spirit. Each performance reflected creativity, teamwork and the boundless enthusiasm of the young Prabhatians.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Hosts Mrs. Vinita Tupone, Miss. Swarnima Ghule and Miss. Renuka Rahate, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, students and organizing team for their contributions in making the event a grand success.
Under the valuable guidance of School’s Founder Director Hon. Dr. Gajanan Nare, Mrs. Vandana Nare and the School Management, entire Cultural Dept. Team, Music and Dance Dept., Sports Dept., Art and Craft Dept., Graphics Dept. team and Technical Support staff worked enthusiastically to make the event successful one.
