Independence Day Celebrations 2026: Competitions and Activities

As part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, has announced a series of exciting competitions and activities to inspire creativity, knowledge, and patriotism among citizens.

Essay Competition

An insightful and thought-provoking essay competition has been announced on the theme:

“Role of AI in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047”

The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, is also organizing an engaging online quiz series aimed at deepening citizens’ understanding of India’s democratic foundations, freedom struggle, scientific achievements, and strategic capabilities.

1. Quiz on the Constitution of India – Fundamental rights, duties, key articles, and the makers of the Constitution.
2. Quiz on Women in India’s Freedom Movement – From Rani Lakshmibai to Sarojini Naidu and beyond.
3. Quiz on Major Milestones of Modern India – Technological progress and achievements in space technology.
4. Quiz on India’s Success Story in Nuclear Technology.
