Alumni and Teachers Pledge to Strengthen Democracy

Akola: Prabhat Kids School proudly celebrated its achievement of securing the State First Rank in the “Chief Minister’s My School, Beautiful School Phase-2” initiative by organizing a special event that brought together alumni and teachers from the 2014–2019 batches. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of alumni.

A key highlight of the event was a collective oath-taking ceremony, where participants pledged to exercise their voting rights as responsible citizens and contribute to strengthening democracy. Dr. Gajanan Nare, the founder-director of Prabhat, inspired the gathering by emphasizing the importance of voting as a fundamental national duty and encouraged all eligible students to actively participate in this democratic process.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Presiding over the ceremony, Dr. Gajanan Nare was joined by dignitaries including Smt. Vandana Gajanan Nare, Secretary Niraj Awandekar, Shilpa Awandekar, senior journalist Vishal Raje, Shruti Raje, Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare, Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Belsare, Senior Coordinator Mr. Mohd. Asif, CBSE Coordinator Mr. Prashant Holkar, and former Principal Kanchan Patokar.

Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the event, while Adv. Vallabh Nare, founder of the Prabhat Alumni Association, coordinated the program with precision. Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Belsare delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks to conclude the ceremony. The event drew over 300 attendees, including alumni, teachers, and staff, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to democracy by pledging to encourage others in their community to vote. The initiative served as a powerful reminder of the role citizens play in upholding the democratic fabric of the nation.
