Akola: Leadership is not merely about holding a position; it is about accepting responsibility and inspiring others through action. Reinforcing this philosophy and nurturing the democratic spirit among students, Prabhat Kids School organised the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Representative Council (SRC) for the academic session 2026–27 on Tuesday, 4th August 2026 with great dignity and enthusiasm in the school assembly hall.

The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of School’s Founder Director Hon. Dr. Gajanan Nare, Director Mrs. Vandana Nare, Secretary Mr. Niraj Awandekar, Mrs. Shilpa Awandekar, Member of the Board of Directors Mr. Ashok Dhere, Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare, Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Belsare, Manager Mr. Abhijeet Joshi, and Senior Coordinator Mr. Mohd. Asif.

The event was gracefully compered by Miss Sayali Pathak (X Edison) and Miss Gayatri Morey (X Kalam) under the able guidance of Mr. Rahul Nilatkar and Mrs. Smita Jumade.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Principal Mrs. Archana Belsare explained the objectives of the Student Representative Council and elaborated on the transparent and systematic selection process adopted by the school.

The solemn highlights of the programme were Handing over the sashes of Responsibility to the SRC members , followed by an Oath-Taking Ceremony, during which Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare administered the oath to all the elected members of the Student Representative Council.

Another most memorable moment of the ceremony was the Ceremonial Transfer of the School Flag and House Flags to Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare by Former SRC members, who in turn entrusted it to the newly elected SRC body, symbolising the transfer of responsibility, trust, and leadership.

The newly appointed office bearers included Master Ruturaj Gawande as Head Boy, Miss Vanshika Lilwani as Head Girl, Master Aditya Mantri as Assistant Head Boy, and Miss Yagni Parika as Assistant Head Girl. Joining them in the Student Representative Council were Vatsal Dehankar, Utkarsh Deshpande, Shantanu Tapase, Sunny Dhawale, Siddhant Kohale, Riya Kawadkar, Neel Ambhore, Krishna Tijare, Anay Bachhuka, Varun Mundada, Darsh Ramani, Gargi Shinde, Ahil Shaikh, Yash Mahajan, Sharvari Lahriya, Advaita Ujade, Shreyash Badarkhe, Maithili Gadhikar, and Manas Andhare, who also pledged to perform their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.

In her inspiring address, Principal Mrs. Vrushali Waghmare congratulated the newly elected council members and reiterated that Prabhat Kids School has always believed in cultivating democratic values through meaningful participation and responsible leadership.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Soham Pore (X Nicolaus).

Under the expert guidance of School’s Visionary Management and Cultural Department Head Mr. Nandkishor Dambale, entire team of Cultural Department, Sports Department, Music Department, Art & Craft Department, Graphics Department, entire technical team, support staff worked hard to make the event a successful one.
