Prabhat Kids School, Akola, has always believed in imparting experiential learning to its students and a significant step in this direction was taken when the students of Grade IX along with the enthusiastic members of the Tourism and Photography Club embarked on an enriching educational field visit ‘Shivar Pheri – 2025’ to the Horticulture Department of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural University, Akola.

The prime objective of the visit was to acquaint the young learners with the vast and diverse cultures of Agriculture and Horticulture and to give them first-hand exposure to the modern technologies that have revolutionized agriculture in recent years. The visit turned out to be a true blend of knowledge, experience and inspiration.

During the visit, the students were guided through various sections of the department where they witnessed advanced practices in crop cultivation, soil management, greenhouse farming, irrigation techniques and organic farming. Eminent scientists of the university interacted with the students, sharing valuable insights about sustainable farming methods, plant protection techniques and the future of agriculture in the modern world. These interactions not only broadened the students’ knowledge but also motivated them to appreciate the role of science and innovation in ensuring food security.
